ORLANDO, Fla. – Feb. 5, 2014 – “Welcome to Moe’s!” can now be heard by travelers in the main terminal of the Orlando International Airport, as Moe’s Southwest Grill® recently opened in the airport. Ranked the No. 1 Mexican food concept by Technomic in 2013, Atlanta-based Moe’s Southwest Grill serves fresh made-to-order burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid back environment.
Moe’s at Orlando International Airport is owned and operated by HMSHost, which is part of Autogrill S.p.A, the world’s largest provider of food, beverage and retail services for travelers, with more than $2.7 billion in revenue. As a recognized industry leader, HMSHost – an important partner of Moe’s Southwest Grill for three years – creates innovate dining locations at airports and on motorways worldwide, bringing local, regional and international brands to consumers. The Orlando International Airport restaurant marks HMSHost’s fourth Moe’s location, following their restaurants at Arundel Mills Mall, Jersey Gardens Mall and Memphis International Airport.
“More and more travelers and flight crews are going out of their way to find healthier options in the airport. HMSHost is a leader in making options available and we are proud to be part of that solution for Host and the traveling public,” said Moe’s President Paul Damico. “Our vegetarian offerings and breadth of menu perform very well in the airport environment.”
All meals, including signature items like the Homewrecker burrito, Close Talker salad and John Coctostan quesadilla, are served with free chips and salsa. While Moe’s is best known for its burritos packed with a choice of over 20 fresh ingredients, the menu also features kid’s, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options.
“Moe’s Southwest Grill has been a very strong partner to HMSHost and we are thrilled to have opened a location at Orlando International Airport,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Renee Tedesco. “Moe’s has a loyal following and we are confident that travelers will respond well to this convenient new location at the airport’s pre-security food court.”
