Uzbekistan Prohibits Transportation Of Liquid For Hand Luggage

Jan. 30--TASHKENT, Uzbekistan -- The Uzbek State Inspection for Flight Safety Supervision has prohibited carrying of all kinds of liquids, aerosols and gels in the hand luggage of air passengers from February 1, 2014, Uzbekistan Airways reported today.

"Passengers departing from airports in the Uzbek Republic are banned from carrying all types of liquids, aerosols and gels in hand luggage," the inspection said.

Liquids, aerosols and gels can be carried only in passenger registered baggage.

Exceptions may be made for baby food and medicines which are required for passengers during the flight. Baby food and medicines must be packed in a plastic, sealable bag.

Each passenger is allowed to carry no more than one plastic bag.
