Delta Air Lines Foundation Donates $50,000 to North Dakota Nonprofit Organizations

Contributions support 20 groups in communities Delta serves

ATLANTA, Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Delta Air Lines Foundation has donated $50,000 to support the efforts of charitable and nonprofit organizations that offer educational and wellness programs and provide assistance to those in need in North Dakota. The Foundation's giving benefits organizations in cities Delta serves including Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot and Williston.

Recipient organizations include local chapters of The American Red Cross; the YMCA and YWCA; Junior Achievement; the United Way; Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile and Farm Rescue.

"Giving back to the communities where Delta people work and live is a core tenet of the Delta culture," said Tad Hutcheson, vice president – Community Affairs for Delta Air Lines. The Delta Air Lines Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1968 to enhance Delta's charitable giving. The Foundation is focused on the key areas of health and wellness, arts and culture, education and diversity and contributions are unrestricted, allowing recipients to use funds where they are needed the most.
