United Airlines Boosts Chicago-Ireland flights

United Airlines will expand its seasonal nonstop service between Chicago O'Hare and Ireland's Shannon Airport

Oct. 16--United Airlines will expand its seasonal nonstop service between Chicago O'Hare and Ireland's Shannon Airport next year, the airline announced.

The flights, which were introduced this summer, will operate next year for a longer period, May 23 to Sept. 15, and with higher frequency. This year, flights ran from June to August.

Overall, it's an 88 percent increase in seat capacity on the route, implemented because of the route's success this year, United said.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with a 169 seats including 16 flat-bed seats in United BusinessFirst.
