United Airlines Announces New Routes from Chicago Hub

Daily nonstop flights to Elmira, State College and Topeka

CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines today announced plans to launch new nonstop service from its Chicago hub at O'Hare International Airport to Elmira, N.Y., and State College, Pa. The airline also plans to begin new service from Chicago to Topeka, Kan., subject to government approval. ExpressJet Airlines will operate the United Express flights using 50-seat regional jet aircraft. The State College and Topeka flights will begin on Jan. 7, 2014, and the Elmira service will begin on Feb. 13, 2014.

"Travelers from Elmira, State College and Topeka will have improved access to the nation's third largest city and one-stop access to more of the world from United's Chicago hub."

The new flights are available for sale at united.com and through other distribution channels.

Elmira and Topeka are both new destinations in United's route network. The airline currently serves State College from its hub at Washington Dulles.

With these new routes, United has added service to ten new destinations from Chicago since the beginning of 2013. Other new year-round and seasonal destinations include Mobile, Ala.; Fairbanks, Alaska; Nassau, Bahamas; Shannon, Ireland; San Jose, Costa Rica; Thunder Bay, Ontario; and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

United and United Express operate nearly 570 daily flights from the O'Hare hub to more than 125 domestic and more than 30 international destinations.
