Aug. 20--El Paso City Council approved a five-year capital improvement plan for the El Paso International Airport today that will be worth more than $139 million.
The money for the project will come from a mixture of Federal Aviation entitlements and discretionary funds, the passenger facility charge, the airport and revenue bonds.
Some of the improvements include a $45 million rental car expansion and $16.8 million runway reconstruction.
The vote was unanimous.
