Aug. 15--Boeing posted its annual jet price list Thursday, raising the sticker price on all models and for the first time listing the price for the 787-10 that was launched at the Paris Air Show.
The 787-10 is listed at $288.7 million, almost $40 million higher than the smaller model 787-9 model that is expected to have its first flight soon.
The list prices are merely nominal starting points for airline bargaining -- no carrier pays full list price. Typical discounts run from 30 to 50 percent and can go higher than that for a big order.
Boeing raised the prices of its two smaller Dreamliner models, the -8 and -9, by 2.4 percent.
It raised the prices for its new 737 MAX family by between 2.4 percent and 3.8 percent, depending on the model.
Older jet models had smaller price increases of just 1.6 percent.
Two 767 variants disappeared from the list: Boeing is no longer offering for sale the 767-200 or -400 models. Neither one has been ordered in the past five years.
However, Boeing has -- somewhat tentatively -- added a new jet designation: the 767-2CFX, which is a freighter version of the Air Force refueling tanker.
There's no price listed for that one, just an asterisk instructing any interested parties to contact Boeing sales for pricing.
