Top Lehigh Valley Events: Wings and Wheels Extravaganza, Dave Koz and Friends

A vintage aircraft fly-in and car show will be held this weekend at Golden Age Air Museum in Bethel. Gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday and festivities continue through 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Grammy-nominated jazz saxophonist is joined by Mindi Abair, Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot, three more of today's pre-eminent saxophone players, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Easton's State Theatre.

With support from Koz's band, the group will debut songs from their upcoming album "Summer Horns," a tribute to the great horn section bands in modern music (Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Tower Of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone). Also, expect to hear the hottest hits from their individual catalogs.

WINGS & WHEELS EXTRAVAGANZA DAVE KOZ & FRIENDS

The World War I-themed event features refreshments, biplane rides, flying activities, aviation and automotive flea market and camping for displayers ($10). Entertainment will be provided by Hill-to-Hill Brass Quintet, 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday; and Lebanon Big Swing Band, 7:30-9 p.m. Saturday. Registration fee for 1946-1977 vehicles, $8; pre-1946 vehicles, free. Cars newer than 1977 will not be displayed.
