Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to Operate Atlantic City Airport

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey recently took over operations at Atlantic City International Airport in order to attract more airlines and passengers. Currently Spirit Airlines is the only airline operating at the airport.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey recently took over operations at Atlantic City International Airport in order to attract more airlines and passengers. Currently Spirit Airlines is the only airline operating at the airport. 

Under the 15-year agreement, which will be renegotiated every five years, the South Jersey Transportation Authority agreed to pay the Port Authority $500,000 a year. 

The Port Authority also operates Newark, LaGuardia, Stewart, Teterboro and Kennedy airports.
