June 06--Jackson Jet Center on the north side of the Boise Airport has unveiled its $3 million expansion prompted by growing demand.

The center, at 3815 Rickenbacker St., has a new 24,000 square-foot hangar addition and office expansion. It includes a flight planning center, pilot lounge with sleep room, men's and women's restrooms with showers, conference and exercise rooms and Wi-Fi.

The additions were made to the center's 9,400 square-foot lobby and pilot services center and 92,000 square feet of hanger space.

The center is a combination of Boise Air Service and the Boise Executive Terminal, which John Jackson bought in 2005 for undisclosed amounts and turned into the Jackson Jet Center. It serves several types of aircraft and has served corporate executives, presidential candidates and movie stars.
