LOT Polish Airlines is re-starting its 787 Dreamliner flights from Chicago to Warsaw Wednesday, months after its maiden flight was interrupted by the new aircraft's fleet-wide grounding due to concerns surrounding overheating batteries.

LOT's 787 flight from Warsaw is scheduled to touch down at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport at 3:20 p.m. The first LOT Dreamliner trip from Chicago will depart at 5:25 p.m., and arrive in Warsaw at 9:55 a.m. The flights were previously operated with Boeing 767s.

The airline's first attempt to inaugurate the Dreamliner service from O'Hare on Jan. 16 was aborted just hours before departure after the Federal Aviation Administration temporarily grounded the aircraft.

The Polish airline began Dreamliner flights from New York's JFK to Warsaw on Saturday. Chicago flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

LOT is the first European carrier to operate the Dreamliner. United is the only U.S. carrier to operate the plane; it reinstated service last month.
