Dubai, May 23 -- Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will be promoted among the UAE's travel industry, business groups and consumers as the most convenient gateway into the Americas from the Middle East as part of a renewed marketing push within the region.

The initiative follows the airport's non-stop flight connection to Dubai with Emirates Airlines, its streamlined, high-tech and thoughtful airport facilities, and the recent announcement in March 2013 of achieving a major milestone of 200 nonstop destinations.

Participating at the Arabian Travel Marketing (ATM) for the second consecutive year, DFW International Airport is the only U.S. airport to participate in what has become the largest American presence ever to participate at the Middle East's leading tourism exhibition.

Commenting on the airport's participation and expectations at the show, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport CEO Jeff Fegan said: "The opportunities the direct Emirates Airlines flight to Dallas/Fort Worth has opened for visitors from the Middle East and indeed India to visit North Texas and the Americas, whether for leisure or business, has grown exponentially. DFW Airport offers comfort, convenience and world-class facilities which travelers can conveniently enter, depart or transit. With any major city within North America and Central America a mere 4-hour flight away, we clearly see ourselves as the most convenient, streamlined and thoughtful American gateway visitors from the Middle East can access and we are here in Dubai to spread that message."

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport prides itself of its dedication for providing an enhanced passenger experience and has implemented numerous services and measures that include: Tax free shopping, an inter faith prayer room, children's play areas, free WiFi connectivity through the airports 5 terminals, informative real-time mobile apps, over 200 shops and restaurants including Halal and vegetarian options, and healthy lifestyle innovations that include complimentary use of the airport's yoga studio, and a LiveWell Walking Path that is aligned with the tiled DFW Art Program.

DFW Airport has been the recipient of many prestigious accolades including being ranked number one U.S. airport for high-tech travelers by PCWorld, and has been named as the most hassle-free airport in the United States.

Travelers from the UAE have also shown high levels of satisfaction for DFW, as reflected in an impressive 8.67 out of 10 ranking given by Emirates Airlines passengers for their overall customs experience at the airport where high-capacity customs facilities provide short wait times, even during peak hours.

Additionally, DFW has been ranked the top U.S airport and number 8 for customer service among large airports worldwide in surveys conducted by Airports Council International, making it one of the world's most highly regarded airports.

Jeff Fegan said: "We have always maintained a high customer centric approach by providing a variety of services and amenities that aim to offer the highest level of convenience and satisfaction to passengers and citizens of Dallas/Fort Worth.Friendly airport assistance and directions are also provided through our multilingual airport ambassadors, collectively speaking 38 languages, who volunteer their time to assist visitors from around the world with a warm DFW welcome."

Ensuring that passenger experiences remain at the forefront of expectations, the airport is investing in its future with a seven-year, $2.3bn Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP) designed to modernize the Airport's original four passenger terminals. DFW Airport's network of direct flights recently achieved another major milestone with direct routes numbering 200 destinations.

In doing so DFW joins a select group of airports worldwide with that distinction, including Frankfurt, Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare, and Munich.

DFW represents the largest hub and home base for American Airlines and as a result offers outstanding connectivity to passengers throughout North America, an excellent gateway point for international travelers to the United States, and outstanding flight options worldwide to Europe, Middle East and Asia. DFW International Airport is the fourth busiest and the highest capacity airport in the world, with seven runways, five terminals and 175 active gates.

"Even with this tremendous achievement of 200 destinations, our Airport still has plenty of room to grow and add more capacity," said Jeff Fegan. "We are optimistic that DFW can continue to attract more air service in the coming months and years, particularly new international services, as we build on our mission to connect the Dallas/Fort Worth area to the world."
