EasyJet Trials Check In App in Scotland

EasyJet passengers at Scotland's busiest airport, and those at Stansted, Southend, Manchester, Amsterdam and Nice, can check in on their iPhone or Android handsets via a free app.

SCOTLAND'S largest airline yesterday launched a trial of boarding passes on mobile phones at six airports including Edinburgh.

EasyJet passengers at Scotland's busiest airport, and those at Stansted, Southend, Manchester, Amsterdam and Nice, can check in on their iPhone or Android handsets via a free app.

Windows Phone 7/8 and Blackberry devices will be added to the trial later this year.

The move comes three years after British Airways introduced the service on its flights, but EasyJet passengers can check in up to 30 days before take-off compared with BA's 24 hours.
