WASHINGTON, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Flight Attendants will hold a press conference Wednesday, April 24 at Washington National Airport (DCA) to continue to push back against the TSA's now delayed policy to allow knives into the aircraft cabin. Flight Attendants, including the 60,000 represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), have opposed the ill-advised plan from the start and remain resolute: No Knives on Planes Ever Again.

"We will not stand down from the fight to keep knives off planes permanently. The recent TSA announcement to delay implementation does not change our efforts. We will continue to focus on a legislative path that permanently bans knives from the cabin. We need a common sense approach to national security just like our country needs a common sense budget that maintains our nation's aviation system as the best in the world," said Veda Shook, AFA International President.
