Dubai World Central (DWC) EVP for international relations and communications, Jamal Al Hai, stated that the airport will begin commercial services in October, reported Arabian Business. Al Hai said that on October 27, Dubai's second airport, which is expected to be the globe's largest when fully completed, will welcome nasair, Saudi's domestic low-cost airline and Wizz Air, the Hungarian budget airline, which has 16 bases across Europe and a hub at London Luton. According to Al Hai, nasair would operate more than 50 flights per week between Dubai and a number of destinations in Saudi Arabia. Wizz Air will run services to a number of Central and Eastern European destinations by its fleet of 40 Airbus A320 aircraft. The DWC, which is also known as Al Maktoum International Airport, has 1 A380-capable runway, 64 remote aircraft stands, and accommodates up to 7 million passengers yearly at the present.
