Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is launching a Facebook application and competition encouraging fans to submit photos replicating the theme of the recently launched global brand advertising campaign.

The new campaign, "The World Is Our Home, You Are Our Guest", was launched on March 3, 2013 when the UAE flag carrier's new television commercial (TVC) first aired, supported by print, digital and outdoor advertising in major markets.

To enter the competition, users must upload an image of themselves and their home city into the 'Be My Guest' competition tab to create a bespoke Facebook Timeline cover image.

The competition will see two Etihad Airways Facebook fans to win four Coral Economy Class return tickets each anywhere on the airline's global network.

The winner will be chosen from the top 10 entries as voted for by the airline's Facebook community. The competition is open until April 30, 2013 and can be entered at Etihad Airways' English and Arabic Facebook pages.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, said: "We received great feedback for our newbrand advertising campaign, so we wanted to bring the campaign to our social media fans and get them involved with the Etihad brand in a fun, engaging way."
