Airlines for America Names Safety Expert Mark Millam Managing Director for Safety

Mark Millam brings 30 years of experience in airline operations and safety

WASHINGTON, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, today named Mark Millam as Managing Director for Safety. Millam, who brings 30 years of experience in airline operations and safety, joins A4A from Compass Airlines, where he was director of safety and compliance and responsible for implementing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Safety Management System (SMS) pilot program. Previously, Millam was the managing director of safety at Northwest Airlines during the Delta/Northwest integration, where he managed the safety alliance between Delta and its Delta Connection carriers.

At A4A, Milam will report to Paul McGraw, Senior Managing Director for Operations and Safety, and will provide strategic direction and assistance to the A4A Safety Council, while building and maintaining relationships with key industry and government safety officials.
