Mokulele Airlines Relocates Its Call Center To Maui To Enhance Customer Service

Hawaii-based passengers and visitors alike will benefit from agents' local knowledge.

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii, Jan. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mokulele Airlines, Hawaii's low-cost interisland air carrier, has announced that it relocated its call center operations from the mainland to Maui in December. The move was made to provide Mokulele's passengers with an enhanced level of customer service by ensuring that their calls will be answered by local residents who are knowledgeable about Hawaii.

Mokulele Airlines CEO Ron Hansen explained that having the call center staffed by agents who are familiar with each of the island destinations Mokulele flies to is a huge advantage when customers have questions. "We're getting great feedback from our corporate customers who travel regularly on Mokulele," he notes, adding that 80 percent of the airline's business is generated by Hawaii residents who travel between islands. "We're committed to taking care of our customers and making sure that their questions are answered quickly and correctly. Our new Maui call center makes it possible for us to meet that goal."

Hansen also noted that by relocating its call center, Mokulele has brought a number of jobs to Hawaii.
