GREENSBORO - TIMCO Aviation Services said Wednesday that 28 students have successfully completed the TIMCO-GTCC Aircraft Maintenance Structures Training Program.

TIMCO, GTCC and Guilford County JobLinks designed the program to identify, assess, hire, train and help prospective candidates start a career in aviation, according to a TIMCO news release. Each graduating student was paid by TIMCO during the accelerated nine-week program and will be given a full-time job with the company.

The graduates worked with materials and equipment used in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of commercial aircraft.

The program introduced a new course this week with a focus on composites maintenance.

Plans are under way for additional courses in coming months.

Prospective students can learn more about the program requirements and apply for future courses by going to www.gtcc.edu.
