Flying Colours Corp, a Canada-based completions, refurbishment and maintenance specialist, has received confirmation of its first Saudi registered aircraft maintenance project.Scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2013 the Saudi registered Challenger 604 will undergo a variety of major inspections, service bulletins, and interior refurbishment at Flying Colours’ Peterborough, Ontario, facility.
Flying Colours Corp received the required maintenance approvals from the Riyadh-based General Authority of Civil Aviation (Gaca) in September and is now permitted to carry out continuous airworthiness and line maintenance on aircraft registered in Saudi Arabia.This first maintenance order from Saudi follows on the heels of the news that Bombardier has appointed Flying Colours Corp, and subsidiary US-based JetCorp Technical Services, as Authorized Service Facilities (ASF), for Learjet and Challenger business jets.Flying Colours Corp will showcase its full spectrum of services to reduce downtime of fleets at the upcoming Middle East Business Aviation (Meba) conference in Dubai.Meba 2012 will run from December 11 to 13 at Al Maktoum International Airport. This will be the fourth year that Flying Colours is attending Meba.Owners can request for line maintenance, heavy maintenance and overhaul work to be undertaken whilst interior upgrades, connectivity implementation, exterior paint jobs and avionics are carried out simultaneously.“We know our clients rely heavily on their aircraft for their business travel, it is an essential business tool for them, and with our new Bombardier ASF approval we are in an even stronger position to offer both maintenance and interiors services in parallel,” said Sean Gillespie executive vice president, Flying Colours Corp.“We can minimise time on the ground significantly saving owners and operators time, money and inconvenience.“Attendance at exhibitions like MEBA means we can communicate our updated approvals status with existing clients and inform potential clients about the benefits of utilising our facilities.
