DALLAS - American Airlines faces a hefty find because of safety violations. The Federal Aviation Administration says it documented 36 separate instances when the airline violated safety rules, including failing to perform repairs and jets put in service with inoperable equipment. A spokesperson for American Airlines said it was aware of the FAA's claims. The airline also says it will work with the FAA to resolve the issue.
