ZURICH, Oct. 23, 2012 -- gategroup announced it has reached agreement with American Airlines to extend several contracts involving its Gate Gourmet, Gate Safe and Pourshins member companies. The value of these extensions over their five-year term is estimated to total over CHF 550 million.
Under the extended contract, Gate Gourmet will provide catering and provisioning services for American at 22 markets worldwide, including hub locations Los Angeles and Chicago.
All gategroup contracts with American Airlines remain subject to approval by the U.S. Court in American Airlines Chapter 11 reorganization.
