Dubai, Oct. 14 -- Rizon Jet, the Qatar-based high-end private aviation services provider, has received the internationally respected Aviation Research Group/US 'ARG/US' Platinum Safety Rating at its Doha facility.

The rating is the result of independent evaluations and a weeks long audit, facilitated by NEXUS Flight Operations Services, the first facilitator of the ARGUS Platinum Safety Rating audits in the Middle East region, that assesses candidate's flight operations against industry best practices. Rizon Jet is the first and only aircraft charter operator in the Middle East and North Africa to achieve ARG/US Platinum rating, which confirms the company's commitment to excellent safety standards and providing outstanding service with unparalleled facilities. Chief Executive Officer of Rizon Jet, Captain Hassan Al-Mousawi, said, "Our clients demand excellence and achieving the highest aviation safety rating has been our priority. We are now one of a few Platinum rated operators outside the US, and indeed the only one in the MENA region, and are confident this will help us to stand out in what is a highly competitive marketplace." The ARG/US Platinum Rating requires a well-developed and fully implemented Safety Management System, which includes a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, as well as effective policies, procedures, and record-keeping for all major operational and maintenance aspects. "The rating is recognition for our consistently high flight safety standards, achieved by our dedicated and professional team in Doha. We strive for excellence in every aspect of our business, but safety is of paramount important in this industry and we are proud to be acknowledged for our efforts," added Captain Hassan Al-Mousawi. Forecasting a growth in demand for private business and leisure jet charter, Rizon Jet's fleet comprises two Challenger 605, and a Hawker 900XP, with UK affiliate Oryx Jet providing access to additional aircraft, including two helicopters. Rizon Jet's managed fleet includes a third Challenger 605, which is available for private charter, a Bombardier Global Express, and an Airbus A319 which is due to join on a private management contract in 2013. Alongside its charter and management divisions in Doha and London Biggin Hill, Rizon Jet offers independent private jet owners access to fixed-base operations 'FBO' - comprising services like fuelling, hangarage and VIP passenger handling - while its maintenance, repair and overhaul 'MRO' division provides technical support for an array of aircraft types. Certification and approvals are being developed all the time, and currently cover a range of Bombardier and Hawker types. Rizon Jet, a subsidiary of Ghanim bin Saad al Saad & Sons Group Holdings, became the first private jet operator to open its own terminal in Doha International Airport, complementing its other VIP base at London's Biggin Hill Airport. The facilities at both sites have been tailored to the firm's high-end corporate clientele, comprising of luxury lounges, fine dining menus, business suites and teleconferencing boardrooms.
