Oct. 16--A Sikorsky Aircraft subsidiary that provides helicopter service to corporate executives has added Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., to the list of airports that it serves.

Officials with the Associated Aircraft Group said it received the approval to serve Reagan National Airport from the Transportation Security Administration. As part of its approval, the Associated Aircraft Group is required to submit to advanced security procedures and background checks for all crew members and have an approved law enforcement officer on board during flights into and out of Reagan National.

"Having access into Reagan Washington National Airport will allow our customers to fly conveniently to the nation's capital from a Gateway location" Scott Ashton, AAG's president, said in a statement.

"With the upcoming national elections, this will become an important benefit for our clients. By utilizing a helicopter, clients can be picked up at a convenient helipad, stop at a gateway for screening, and continue on directly to DCA without making the drive from outlying airports."

AAG has more than 20 years experience providing helicopter and fixed wing charter flights, fractional ownership programs and helicopter maintenance services from its Teterboro, N.J., New York and Chester County, Pa., locations.

The company's headquarters and repair facility is based out of the Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
