Frontier Airlines announced new nonstop service between its Denver, Colo. hub and Minot, N.D., with four weekly nonstop flights, beginning on Nov. 5.

"As we've continued to enjoy such a fantastic response to our Bismarck and Fargo service, it's clear there is a considerable need for Frontier's high-value, low-fare service throughout North Dakota," said Daniel Shurz, Frontier's senior vice president, commercial. "We look forward to providing the Minot community and western North Dakota with low-fare, nonstop access to Denver, in addition to convenient connections up and down the west coast."

"Having Frontier Airlines announce they're coming to Minot is a whole different animal and we're excited about having an affordable airline enter this rapidly growing market," said Andy Solsvig, Minot International Airport director. "More flights connecting to the west will mean more options for travelers."

According to a release, the new service will operate on 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.
