Plane makes emergency landing at New York airport

A Boeing 757 made an emergency landing at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday following a suspected bird strike, local media reported. The plane landed safely with no one injured, local radio station WABC reported, quoting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA said that the Los Angeles-bound Delta Flight 1063 may have sustained a bird strike shortly after taking off. The plane was carrying 172 passengers and seven crew members.
