Greensboro, North Carolina – 27 March 2012…TIMCO Aerosystems, a unit of TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”), announced today that its FeatherWeight™ series lavatories have been selected by a leading, global airline as part of an ongoing cabin reconditioning program on its B767 fleet.

TIMCO’s FeatherWeight™ series lavatories weigh about 20% less than standard lavatory units due to the use of innovative materials and precision engineering. The lower weight can contribute to less fuel burn and subsequent cost savings over the life of the units. The units also offer state-of-the-art aesthetics that deliver maintenance cost savings, such as long-life, cool-running LED lights and one-piece, seamless counter areas.

Rick Salanitri, President of TIMCO Aerosystems, said, “We are very pleased that our FeatherWeight™ lavatory solution has been selected by another leading operator for its important cabin upgrade program.” He added, “This will be the fifth airline to have selected our new, light weight lavatory units, and we are eager to help them achieve sustained operational cost savings while delivering a design their passengers will find appealing.”

TIMCO Aerosystems, a business unit of TIMCO Aviation Services, is one of a select few companies that can support its customers with a full spectrum of cabin solutions including state-of-the-art design engineering; interiors products including the FeatherWeight™ line of galleys, lavatories and seating; integration project management; and certification services under its FAA ODA Authority.
