Canadian North has become the latest airline to opt for the AMOS MRO IT solution to manage the maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in its fleet. The Canadian carrier recently signed a contract with Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS) and its distribution partner Lufthansa Systems to this effect.
AMOS is a comprehensive software package that facilitates the management of a large spectrum of maintenance, repair and overhaul processes. With eight core modules it covers processes of materials management, maintenance and engineering planning, financial management, component maintenance, maintenance operations control and quality assurance. Thanks to its modular structure applications can easily be adapted to the customer’s needs. The interface secures a user-friendly integration into existing environments.
Canadian North, with headquarters in Yellowknife, offers scheduled and cargo services throughout Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. With a fleet of 15 aircraft, including Boeing 737s and De Havilland Dash-8s, the airline not only operates scheduled and cargo services, but also charter operations throughout Canada and the U.S. The Canadian carrier is fully owned by aboriginals and will be the fourth Canadian airline using AMOS.
