-MTU Maintenance succeeds in entering the South Korean market
ENP Newswire - 21 February 2012 Release date- 20022012 - Hannover - South Korean carrier Asiana Airlines has selected MTU Maintenance Hannover to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for its CF6-80C2 engines.

Asia is a booming region with a rapidly growing demand for air transport services. The five-year maintenance agreement signed today covers the CF6-80C2 engines powering Asiana's Boeing 767 and 747 fleets. Asiana, which has its headquarters in Seoul, is among the leading airlines in Asia and has won several awards and honors. It currently operates a mixed fleet of 72 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The MTU Maintenance network of companies, the largest independent provider of commercial engine maintenance services, is the MRO arm of MTU Aero Engines, Germany's leading engine manufacturer and the country's only independent engine builder.
