GMF AeroAsia has chosen A J Walter Aviation, the world’s leading spares support specialist, to provide integrated consumables management to support the growing GMF maintenance programme for B737NG aircraft.
AJW will position a spares consignment with GMF in Jakarta for replenishment on demand with payment on consumption. “Our integrated consumables management programme will provide GMF with a streamlined consumables solution which will deliver outstanding value for money and will increase efficiency whilst reducing GMF’s inventory stock”, explains Nick Roberts, Consumables Supply Manager at A J Walter Aviation.
GMF AeroAsia is based in Indonesia and began as the technical division of Garuda Indonesia Airlines in 1949. Today, with a new identity and a passion for expansion, GMF AeroAsia serves a global client base and is recognised as operating one of the biggest aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Southeast Asia.
“Following a highly successful 2011, this contract builds on a rapidly growing integrated consumables portfolio which firmly establishes AJW as a significant service provider in this market. Our flexible approach and tailored service continues to set us apart from other suppliers in the sector” adds Nick Roberts.
AJW’s consumables solution facilitates the demand management, ordering and receipt of consumables through planned consignments. By utilising a network of established suppliers, the service delivers significant cost and time savings, optimising operational efficiency. Across the business, AJW serves a global customer base of more than 700 airlines and, with over 375 aircraft under contract, AJW remains the partner of choice for airline and MRO organisations seeking competitive advantage.
