Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services-North America (Andalusia) Announces Facility Expansion

Feb. 12, 2012
Its Andalusia, Alabama, facilities are going to be expanded with a grand opening scheduled for March 2012.

Richmond, BC – Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services-North America (Vector) www.vectoraerospace.com, (Heli-Expo Booth #7139) a subsidiary of Vector Aerospace Corporation and one of the world’s leading providers of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services announces the expansion of its Andalusia, Alabama facilities; with the Grand Opening scheduled for March, 2012.

Rick Pataky, vice-president of operations at the Andalusia operation explains that the current 38,000 square-foot repair and overhaul facility; opened on December 3rd, 2008 has been challenged with capacity issues in recent years due to Vector’s continued growth; and that the time is right for an expansion to accommodate future market share growth.  In particular, Pataky identifies the necessity to expand Vector’s TH-57 and TH-67 overhaul lines in support of ongoing US Navy and US Army programs, as well as expansion of the company’s UH-1 Upgrade Program.

Vector has successfully operated the Andalusia, Alabama operation since 2004 where it has offered best-in-class airframe, component, avionics and engineering support to a mix of defense and commercial operators throughout North America. The company has continued to experience steady business growth via a continually expanding customer base consisting of both of defense and commercial operators.

Vector’s comprehensive service portfolio includes:
