Adria Airways Signs StandardAero to Long-Term Contract for CRJ APU Support
All work will be performed at StandardAero’s Maryville, TN, facility.
TEMPE, Ariz. – January 10, 2012 – StandardAero announced today that it has signed an exclusive maintenance agreement with Slovenia’s Adria Airways, for its Honeywell RE220 and GTCP36-150RJ Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
Adria Airways is the flag carrier of Slovenia, operating four CRJ900 aircraft fitted with RE220 APUs and six CRJ100/200 aircraft fitted with GTCP36-150RJ APUs. Outside of the manufacturer, StandardAero is the only independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider authorized to service the Honeywell RE220 APU and holds a favorable position in the GTCP36-150RJ APU market.
“Maintaining our strong market leadership position not only underscores our competence and experience in APU MRO, but also reflects the confidence our customers have in us to maintain service excellence and to do so with industry-leading turn times,” said StandardAero Maryville Vice President and General Manager, Tim Fischer. “This partnership agreement with Adria Airways further illustrates StandardAero’s commitment to delivering the most value to our customers.”
All work will be performed at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tenn. facility, which has delivered over 5,000 APUs since the program started in 1995. The Maryville site is a one-stop shop that not only repairs the APUs but all Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) associated with the APUs. Focused on repair versus replacement of parts, StandardAero works to reduce life-cycle costs of operation for its customers through increased reliability, and industry leading turnaround times.
