PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Dec. 20 -- The city of Palm Springs issued the following news:

In an effort to accommodate increased visitors to Palm Springs during the Christmas holidays, Palm Springs International Airport will once again offer temporary economy parking.

The Airport's Economy Lot, located on the main roadway at Gene Autry Trail, will be open from 4:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. though Dec. 24 and from 4:30 a.m. to noon on Dec. 25 at a cost of just $6 each day.

Complimentary and convenient shuttle transportation will be provided from the Economy Lot to the curb of the main terminal. Shuttle service returning to the lot will only be available through 1 a.m. on Jan. 4.

Due to large crowds expected at the Airport during the Christmas holiday, it is recommended that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of scheduled flight to allow sufficient time to park, conduct airline check in and process through security screening.

For more information about screening, the Transformation Security Administration offers a Web site that provides travelers with helpful tips at www.tsa.gov. For any query with respect to this article or any other content requirement, please contact Editor at [email protected]
