Landmark Aviation Announces Grand Opening of FBO at Oakland International Airport

Dec. 1, 2011

(Houston, TX – December 1, 2011) Landmark Aviation announces the grand opening of its FBO at Oakland International Airport (www.flyoakland.com). Landmark’s FBO at OAK is its first in the Bay Area and the twelfth location added to the network in 2011. The FBO is centrally located at OAK’s North Field in the Hangar 5 facility. Landmark has initiated a multimillion dollar renovation project, having already upgraded the FBO terminal along with beginning hangar and property improvements.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to invest at Oakland International,” said Dan Bucaro, President & CEO. “Landmark believes that OAK is well positioned to attract additional corporate aviation traffic in the Bay Area and looks forward to working with the Port of Oakland to execute the strategic plan we have developed together.”

Landmark’s FBO at OAK will participate in the company’s proprietary program, “Landmark Cares.” Supported by a number of Landmark’s locations around the country, “Landmark Cares” is a community-based program focused on supporting local charitable groups. For every gallon of fuel sold, Landmark will make a donation to local non-profit and charitable organizations.

In addition to supporting local non-profit groups, Landmark has created and continues to create new jobs for Bay Area citizens and has already forged strategic partnerships with local organizations to promote upcoming Bay Area events, most notably the 2013 America’s Cup.

“We are pleased to welcome Landmark Aviation to Oakland International Airport,” said Deborah Ale Flint, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “Landmark’s vision to grow our market, their keen sense of social responsibility and their track record at comparable airports around the country make them a natural fit for OAK. We look forward to many years of great corporate aviation services from our newest FBO,” she continued.

“I would like to thank our Landmark team for their exceptional efforts over 2011,” said Mr. Bucaro. “The last twelve months have been busy for Landmark, with investments nearing $100 million to acquire, expand, upgrade and transition FBO facilities. Our work is ongoing, and we are committed to providing a first-class experience for our customers through continued investments.”
