Jet Aviation Abu Dhabi Appoints Senior Manager at Al Bateen Executive Airport and Secures Additional Hangar Space to Begin Line Maintenance Support

Jet Aviation Abu Dhabi appoints Peter Lewis as senior manager of its new operations at Al Bateen Executive Airport.

Dubai / United Arab Emirates, November 22, 2011 – Jet Aviation Abu Dhabi appoints Peter Lewis as senior manager of its new operations at Al Bateen Executive Airport. The company has also leased 1,200 sq. m. (12,917 sq. ft.) of hangar space for temporary use while its dedicated 2,400 sq. m. (25,833 sq. ft.) hangar undergoes a full refurbishment.

Jet Aviation Abu Dhabi has appointed Peter Lewis as its senior manager, responsible for overseeing its operations at Al Bateen Executive Airport. Lewis will report directly to Michael Rücker, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Dubai. As a 30-year veteran of the business aviation industry, Lewis brings a wealth of experience to this new position, particularly in maintenance, project management and quality assurance.

The company has also secured 1,200 sq. m. hangar space in Hangar 30 while its dedicated 2,400 sq. m. (25,833 sq. ft.) Hangar 36 is fully refurbished. Hangar 36 is expected to be operational in April 2012 and will feature a new state-of-the-art folding door.

Jet Aviation Abu Dhabi was established in September 2011 as an affiliate of Jet Aviation Dubai. As such, the facility is authorized to provide line maintenance services and warranty support to Boeing BBJ, the Gulfstream GIV and GV series, the Dassault Falcon 900, 2000 and 7X series, the Hawker Beechcraft 800 series and Embraer Legacy aircraft.

Jet Aviation Dubai’s maintenance and FBO location was established in May 2005 as a joint venture company with the Al Mula Group. The facility has a total of 4,200 square meters (45,192 square feet) of hangar space, a workshop area of 1,000 square meters (10,760 square feet), and a two-storey FBO building with an area of 1,050 square meters (11,300 square feet). The facility holds EASA #145.0317 maintenance approval and is an FAA #U8JY426Y repair station. It also holds Bermuda DCA, Cayman CAA, Jordan CARC, Pakistan CAA, Saudi Arabia PCA and UAE GCAA approvals. Jet Aviation Dubai is an authorized service center for maintenance and warranty support to Boeing BBJ, the Gulfstream GIV and GV series, the Dassault Falcon 900 and 2000 series, the Hawker Beechcraft 800 series and Embraer Legacy aircraft, including L4 inspections.
