Jet Aviation and its Employees Earn NBAA Safety Awards
Jet Aviation Flight Services received the NBAA Corporate Business Flying Safety Award for 21 years of accident-free flying, and 104 of its pilots, technicians and support personnel were also honored for their individual safety records.
Teterboro, N.J. / November 10, 2011 – Jet Aviation’s aircraft management and charter division for the Americas, Jet Aviation Flight Services, received the NBAA Corporate Business Flying Safety Award for 21 years of accident-free flying, and 104 of its pilots, technicians and support personnel were also honored for their individual safety records.
At its annual meeting and convention in October, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) honored individuals and companies for their commitment to safety. Jet Aviation received the Corporate Business Flying Safety Award for 21 years of accident-free flying by accumulating 289,126 hours of safe flight. This is the third highest amount of safe flight hours among all the recognized flight departments.
Many of the Jet Aviation Flight Services team were honored with individual safety awards at the NBAA event. Twenty-one Jet Aviation pilots earned Pilot Safety Awards by accumulating 166,717 hours of accident-free flying, averaging 7,939 hours each. The Maintenance/Avionics Technician Safety Award went to 51 maintenance technicians who have a combined total of 1,007 of accident-free years in corporate aviation, with each technician averaging 19.75 years of safe service. Thirty-two support personnel received the Aviation Support Services Safety Award. These team members have a total of 342 accident-free years in corporate aviation, averaging 10.7 years each.
