US Airways Appoints Eastern Division Vice President

Ross Bonanno becomes vice-president, airport operations.

TEMPE, Ariz., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways Group, Inc.,(NYSE: LCC), today announced that Ross Bonanno has been named vice president, airport operations - eastern division, effective Dec. 19, 2005 . In this position, Bonanno, 51, will be responsible for customer service and station operations in the airline's Eastern region, which includes the Philadelphia and Charlotte hubs, Pittsburgh , and nearly 40 additional US Airways cities. He will report to Senior Vice President, Customer Service Anthony Mule .

Bonanno brings nearly 30 years of aviation experience to the newly merged US Airways, including an extensive history of hub management experience. He began his career with American Airlines where he spent 23 years in a variety of roles, ranging from labor relations to technology to customer service and ground operations. He also spent three years with Southwest Airlines, and in his last position with that airline served as director, corporate planning. Additional experience includes Sabre, Inc. where he was director, technology solutions. Bonanno holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from St.Bonaventure University in Olean, NY.
