Landmark Aviation today announced the completion of a $1.5 million hangar facility at its Roanoke, Va., fixed base operation (FBO), providing aircraft operators with an additional 18,000 square feet of aircraft storage.
"Landmark Aviation's new hangar at the Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) offers aircraft operators in the region additional storage and brings our total facility hangar storage to 125,000 square feet,"said Karen Roberts, Landmark Aviation General Manager at Roanoke.
In addition, the FBO offers ground handling, fueling, concierge assistance, pilot lounge and weather room. The FBO is a full-service operation for business aircraft, with 24/7 customer service, aircraft sales and charter.
Jacqueline Shuck, Executive Director, Roanoke Airport Commission, said, "The Commission is pleased to have worked closely with Landmark Aviation throughout the development of this new aircraft storage facility, which offers the greater Roanoke aviation community needed additional space. We look forward to our continuing partnership with Landmark at the Roanoke Regional Airport.”
Landmark Aviation is an integrated services provider, offering light aircraft repair and maintenance at FBO locations throughout North America, as well as heavy aircraft maintenance and repairs at its major MRO centers. The company's largest FBO facilities are at Dulles, Va., Toronto, and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Earlier this year Landmark unveiled a $2.6 million interior renovation at LAX and a $300,000 renovation at Dulles. The company's Toronto renovation will be unveiled this fall.
In early 2006 Landmark also acquired two FBO facilities -- Westchester, N.Y., and Scottsdale, Ariz.
