ASIG®, an industry leader in aviation services, announced today that it has successfully commenced aircraft fuelling operations at Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). ASIG's concession to provide fuel services is one of two 20-year licenses awarded by the airport authority, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT).

Commenting on the successful launch, Mark Edwards, Managing Director, ASIG Europe, said, "Preparing for the opening of the airport has been three years in the making and we have constructed world class facilities, implemented industry best practices and have trained our fuelers to provide the safest, most reliable service possible. We are pleased to offer the world's airlines a competitive choice of into-plane operators in Bangkok for the first time ever. Prior to the opening of the airport, ASIG passed the International Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) audit with no issues, allowing us to commence services."

To date ASIG has obtained fuelling contracts with British Airways, United Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Austrian Airlines, Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways.
