Vancouver, B.C, November 10, 2006 – AccelRate Power Systems (TSX.V: APS), the leader in "High-Speed" battery charging technology, has received an initial stocking order from its newly appointed South African distributor, Saficon Industrial Equipment (Pty) Ltd., trading as Toyota Forklift.

This sizeable stocking order reinforces Toyota Forklift's optimistic outlook for the Company's "High-Speed" battery chargers in their marketplace. The Company anticipates part of the order will be delivered before the end of this year (with the balance to follow in Q1 2007) to allow Toyota Forklift to demonstrate the product to their customers.

AccelRate chargers offer numerous advantages, even over the most advanced battery charger technologies. Benefits include the ability to provide a "full" state-of-charge in two hours (five times faster than conventional technology) as well as automatic recognition of voltage, battery capacity, battery chemistry and state-of-charge.

"We are extremely happy with the advancement of our relationship with Toyota Forklift since we announced them as a new distributor on October 4, 2006. After meetings, educational sessions with end-use customers, training and product demonstrations, we have received a substantial order for our "High-Speed" battery chargers." stated Reimar Koch, President and Chief Executive Officer of AccelRate. "We look forward to continuing our relationship with Toyota Forklift and to helping them meet their customers' demands for "High-Speed" charging, improved battery performance and increased space utilization. We are hopeful that our efforts with our other distributors will likewise result in forthcoming orders as our "High-Speed" battery charging technology gains momentum in the marketplace."
