Arxcis, Inc., gives trainers a leg up with unlimited materials and customization of training content.

Arxcis, Inc., a leading industrial training and OSHA-accredited crane inspections provider, has transferred its popular training program from classroom to CD. Unlike generic safety training videos, the Arxcis Hard Hat Training Series CDs are fully customizable, allowing instructors to use the information as is or to tailor it for their unique applications.

According to OSHA, employers pay almost $1 billion/week to injured employees and their medical care providers.

"Most employers view safety training as an investment. Yet, tuition costs for many of the country’s training programs can be prohibitive," said Myron Lee, Arxcis co-founder. "We hope to alleviate this cost burden by providing a one-time cost CD that can be used for any number of trainees on any number of occasions."

Users of the CDs can implement their own text - to include information such as company policies and additional test questions - as well as photos or logos to accompany the existing Arxcis training materials.

Also important to note is that instructors can print unlimited student manuals and tests directly from the CD, which avoids the costly and time-consuming task of reordering materials each time the course is given.

The availability of the company’s OSHA-accredited expertise on a customizable and portable format makes training in the public works, utility, government, construction, industrial and maritime industries more affordable for both public and private entities.

Courses covering the following equipment/topics are available:

  • Sit-Down Forklifts
  • Stand-Up Forklifts
  • Aerial/Scissor Lifts
  • Telescopic Handlers/Reach Forklifts
  • Backhoes/Loaders
  • Boom Trucks
  • Rough Terrain Cranes
  • Pedestal-Mounted Cranes
  • Vehicle-Mounted Aerial Lifts
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Excavators
  • Trench Safety

Each Hard Hat Training Series CD includes federal OSHA laws, accident profiles and inspection tips on more than 50 PowerPoint slides. Student manuals and tests, as well as instructor guides and certificates of completion are also a part of the package.

To date, Arxcis has released more than 250 of its CDs to more than 100 entities, including cities, rental companies, warehouses and other safety training consultants.

According to one client, Derek Henson, CEO of Texas-based CH Crane & Rigging, "These training programs are some of the best I've come across in the industry. Due to the extensive and accurate content, professional layout and usability, I’m able to fulfill my trainees' needs on a higher level."

The Hard Hat Training Series is available for $375 per CD ($395 with Spanish-language student manuals and tests).
