New York — At Kennedy Airport, four JetBlue workers and a city correction officer have been charged with identity theft in a case involving credit card numbers stolen from airline passengers and used for a spending spree at restaurants, liquor stores, Bloomingdale’s and other shops, prosecutors said yesterday.
Investigators began looking at the group after someone rushing to catch a flight forgot his credit card at a JetBlue counter at Kennedy Airport, the Manhattan district attorney’s office said. Later, the card was used to run up $508 in charges, the office said. JetBlue officials said the four workers, three customer service agents and a flight attendant were suspended.
