eTug LLC today announced that Airport Terminal Services (ATS) headquartered in St. Louis have agreed to test the new "eTug" in St. Louis for a 30 day trial. Addressing environmental issues and cutting costs are both high on the agenda according to Bob Fleschert, ATS Manger of Maintenance and Ground Support Equipment.  The "eTug" presents many new ideas in electric tugs but mainly it's the rear inching switch (included in the price) and the convenience of charging with a 110v plug. Should any "eTugs" be purchased, California would likely be the first destinations.
