23 airport workers busted for fake IDs
Authorities say 23 illegal immigrants have been arrested on charges that they allegedly used fake security badges to work at O'Hare International Airport.
CHICAGO (AP) -- Authorities say 23 illegal immigrants have been arrested on charges that they allegedly used fake security badges to work at O'Hare International Airport.
The arrests follow an eight-month investigation involving the Department of Aviation, Cook County Sheriff's Police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The workers were assigned to O'Hare through Ideal Staffing Solutions in Bensenville.
It's a temp supplying workers to United Airlines, KLM and Qantas. Two agency employees were also arrested and face federal charges.
Authorities allege the employees provided deactivated security badges issued in other names.
All 23 workers face deportation. Twenty-one are from Mexico and two are from Guatemala.
