Aviapartner Appoints Marcel Blomjous as Managing Director of its Amsterdam Cargo-Handling Subsidiary Aero Groundservices
Aviapartner, Europe’s leading independent ground handler, announces the appointment of Marcel Blomjous as the new Managing Director of Aero Groundservices, Aviapartner’s recently acquired cargo handling operation in Amsterdam.
Brussels, 9 November 2007 – Aviapartner, Europe’s leading independent ground handler, announces the appointment of Marcel Blomjous as the new Managing Director of Aero Groundservices, Aviapartner’s recently acquired cargo handling operation in Amsterdam.
Marcel Blomjous is replacing Peter Loonen, the former Managing Director of Aero Groundservices, who left the company on 1 October to accept a position within VCK Holding, the company from which Aviapartner had acquired Aero Groundservices in April 2007.
Effective since 1 November 2007, Marcel Blomjous is responsible for all operational, financial and commercial matters of Aero Groundservices, Aviapartner’s largest cargo handling station in Amsterdam, in close cooperation with the whole management team of Aero Groundservices and of Aviapartner Cargo.
Marcel has a wide experience in the cargo and transport sector. He spent 13 years with KLM Cargo in various management positions around the world and 9 years at the Koninklijke Frans Maas Groep N.V. (now DSV), where he was General Manager of various subsidiaries and Sales Director Netherlands and Belgium.
