The company was established in Thailand in July 1990 as a private sector enterprise to provide comprehensive ground handling services.

The most recent member of the exclusive Aviance alliance, Thai Airports Ground Services Co. Ltd. (TAGS) was established in Thailand in July 1990 as a private sector enterprise motivated by a common desire to provide customers the benefit of an alternative and highly focused, comprehensive ground handling service.

Today TAGS has an affiliation with the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) which was corporatized from the former state owned Airports Authority of Thailand (AAT) to a public limited company in September 2002.

Under the authority of Thailand’s Ministry of Transport, operations began at Thailand’s Don Mueang International airport where over the next five years and working with selected joint-venture partners, the company offered an expanding range of ground handling services from cargo handling, ramp handling, to aircraft line maintenance and passenger services.

TAGS also provides a range of ground handling services at Thailand’s Chiang Mai and Phuket international airports.
