In creating this new top-management post, Swissport is responding to the growing importance of personnel affairs and concerns in today’s corporate world.

In Peter Moser (47), Swissport has secured the services of an experienced HR specialist for its newly created position. Moser is currently serving as senior vice president at Leica Geosystems AG in Heerbrugg, Eastern Switzerland, where he is responsible not only for all HR services for the Leica Geosystems Group’s 3,750 personnel in 30 countries but also for strategic projects in the people development, HR marketing, HR controlling and performance management fields. Prior to this, he held various leading HR and management positions within the Leica, Wild-Leitz and Wild Heerbrugg AG organizations.

A native of Austria, Peter Moser studied at the universities of Innsbruck and Wales, and has also completed various further international courses in the HR field. He was actively involved in Leica’s recent merger with Hexagon AB, leading the organizational restructuring at the company’s head office and going on to conduct companywide HR projects for the Hexagon organization.

Stefan Resele, who is currently serving as vice president and head of corporate human resources for the Swissport Group, will assume new duties by heading the business development unit of Swissport Switzerland, effective March 2009.

“I am delighted that we have secured Peter Moser’s services,” says Per Utnegaard, president and CEO of Swissport International. “With his background and experience, he is intimately familiar with the kind of local-yet-international personnel policy we require for our workforce of some 30,000 personnel at 183 stations in 42 different countries; and I have every confidence that he will provide the kind of professional HR management that is needed by our personnel, who are in daily direct personal contact with our clients and their customers all over the Swissport world.”
