Zurich, Jan. 15, 2010 – Swissport International has appointed Ricky Saghir as the new commercial director of its German cargo organization. Saghir, who is 47, will also be overall in charge of Swissport’s commercial cargo activities in Eastern Europe in his new function, which he assumes on Feb. 1.
Ricky Saghir spent the last 27 years of his career with German Lufthansa where he acquired a solid experience of aviation, passenger and freight services and all related activities. Ricky Saghir joined the freight subsidiary Lufthansa Cargo AG in 2000, where he headed the team for worldwide purchase of handling services. Amongst the milestones of Ricky’s cargo career were a joint venture, heading the local cargo sales team in Frankfurt, Trade Lane Management for the Southeast Asia Region, and lately Global Key Account Manager, responsible for and tending to one of the top 10 customers of Lufthansa Cargo AG on a worldwide scale.
