Cavotec Enters Argentina Market with Fueling Systems Project
The company announced a deal to supply a range of advanced fueling hydrants and related material for Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport.
Global engineering group, and airport ground systems integrator, Cavotec, has reported its first airports order in Argentina with a deal to supply a range of advanced fueling hydrants and related material for Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport.
“We look forward to developing this exciting new project: working closely with customers in Argentina, to design and integrate advanced systems to airports, as we do in markets around the globe,” says Cavotec Dabico VP Sales and Marketing Dan Foster.
One of Cavotec’s three airport units, Cavotec Dabico, in conjunction with partners, Aviation Fueling Consulting Corp, will supply 25 fuel hydrant pits and four low-point drain assemblies to Ezeiza International Airport. Low point drain pits remove non-fuel fluids and other contaminants that can accumulate in aircraft fuel pipelines.
The units will be manufactured and delivered as complete assemblies with all internals ready-furnished to ensure high quality performance. At the customer’s request, the equipment will be tested at Cavotec Dabico’s facility in Costa Mesa, in the United States.
The equipment forms a key element of a major, ongoing modernization project at the airport announced in 2007. The program, which includes a new terminal building and a control tower, is due for completion in 2010/11. Located some 20 miles (35 kilometers) south west of Buenos Aires, Ezeiza International Airport handled more than eight million passengers in 2009.
