Swissport Announces Management Changes

May 10, 2010
Martin Meyer and Mark Faulkner are leaving the company to take on new external challenges.

Mark Faulkner, currently CEO of Swissport’s UK organization, is to leave the company at the end of this month to take on a new professional challenge. Robin Dickie, a proven executive with extensive experience in various management capacities, has been appointed to take over as interim CEO on June 1.

Mark Faulkner is to leave Swissport UK at the end of May to take up a new challenge outside the aviation sector. Having joined the world’s leading ground handler in September 2008, Mark Faulkner has swiftly restructured and brought new dynamism to Swissport UK’s organization and processes, including business development. Swissport offers him its warmest thanks for his work and commitment during this vital and successful restructuring process, and wishes him every further professional success and satisfaction.

Robin Dickie will assume the position of interim CEO of Swissport UK, with overall responsibility for all business activities, until further notice. All other operational and commercial contacts remain unchanged.

Martin Meyer, Swissport International’s Global Key Account Manager Ground Handling, is to leave the world’s leading ground handler to take on a new professional challenge.

Martin Meyer has played a key role in Swissport’s commercial growth over the past few years. With his experience and his comprehensive contact network, he is acknowledged as a proven ground handling specialist. The esteem in which he is held is also reflected in his active involvement in various industry working groups such as IAHA and IGHC.

Martin Meyer has spent over ten years in Swissport’s global sales organization. His service to the company was only briefly interrupted when he assumed responsibility for the Qualiflyer Group ground handling alliance, from 1998 to 2001.

Martin Meyer is leaving Swissport at his own request to take on a new professional challenge. His successor is yet to be appointed.
